PROBLEM IN HOSPITALS
DISEASE TRANSMISSION & INFECTIONS
2
Cotton workwear, especially in hospitals, is a still breeding
ground for pathogens and a source of their transmission
between patients and medical staff.
The only way to protect people in hospitals is to wash cotton
clothes daily. However, there are many risks in this
procedure, the violation of which can lead to nosocomial
infections, e.g. SEPSA.
The risks include:
Textiles contamination during washing and ironing
Environment pollution of by aggressive agents for washing
Textiles contamination during packaging, transport
